New Walking Maps

We have commissioned a well known cartographer to create a series of beautifully designed walking maps, which will allow guests to confidently head out across the sierras alone or accompanied by one of our guides and be able to discover the farm for themselves on foot. These maps will take the guests from our cattle station in the south right the way to the original Begg family house in the northernmost part of the farm. On Sunday afternoons we have now begun the tradition of a late afternoon walk with the guides and dogs before returning to the farm for afternoon tea (or G&T) on the veranda.

Your Guide to Mexico Summer Travel: Trip Design Made Easy!

The key to crafting unforgettable travel moments over the summer months is working with Mother Nature. In return, your clients will be rewarded with seasonal festivals, natural wonders, lower costs, and fewer crowds.

Summer is Mexico’s off-season, which translates to fewer visitors. That means more freedom for your travellers to make the most of luxurious hotel facilities, plus explore museums, galleries, archaeological sites, and markets with ease, thanks to reduced crowds. We’ve designed some sample itineraries to show you how to put together travel in the summer months, from Oaxaca and Mexico City to San Miguel de Allende and the Yucatán. We love that off-peak travel also combats over-tourism, which can put pressure on local resources and drive prices up. See more here.

At El Pescadero and La Ventana, fun is the name of the game, with opportunities for scuba diving or kitesurfing. Finally, just a few kilometres from the city of La Paz in the Pueblo Mágico of Todos Santos lies Cerritos, a favourite for the surfing crowd.
