The European office, now based in Lisbon, will focus on key outbound markets to Brazil, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland. Lilas Nascimento, previously responsible for the UK market, has been appointed Strategic Business Development Manager for Europe, alongside Larissa Ushizima, former Head of International Relations. Both will work closely with the Brasília Head Office to boost Brazil’s presence and promote its destinations. Update: Trail and Mountain Closures Continue
The Inca Trail (including KM 104), Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, Choquequirao, and the Salkantay Trek remain closed due to ongoing heavy rains in the Cusco region. Authorities have yet to announce a reopening date for any of these routes.
These closures are in place as a safety precaution following landslides and dangerously slippery conditions. Updates will be provided as soon as new information is available.
